These Terms & Conditions apply to services provided by Woof & Wonders, including dog walking, dog training, Walk & Train sessions, drop-in visits and dog sitting.

By booking a service with Woof & Wonders, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a booking.

1. Our Services

Woof & Wonders provides professional dog walking, dog training and dog sitting services.

All services are provided with the welfare of your dog as the priority and will be carried out with reasonable care and skill.

Dog training and behaviour support uses science-based, ethical and positive methods only. We do not use or recommend aversive training methods or equipment.

2. Information About Your Dog

Before providing a service, you must give Woof & Wonders accurate and relevant information about your dog. This includes, where applicable, their:

  • health and medical conditions;
  • medication;
  • allergies;
  • behavioural history;
  • bite history or aggression;
  • reactivity towards dogs, people or other animals;
  • fears, anxieties or known triggers;
  • dietary requirements; and
  • any other information that could affect their welfare or the safety of your dog, other animals or people.

Please let us know as soon as reasonably possible if any of this information changes.

Woof & Wonders reserves the right to alter, pause or decline a service where we reasonably believe it would not be safe or appropriate for the dog, handler, other animals or members of the public.

3. Dog Walking

Group walks are limited to a maximum of five dogs.

Dogs will only be introduced to group walks where Woof & Wonders considers the arrangement suitable for the individual dog and existing group.

Individual walks may be recommended for dogs who require additional support, prefer their own space or are not suitable for group walking.

Dogs will only be allowed off-lead where this has been agreed with the owner and Woof & Wonders reasonably considers it safe and appropriate to do so.

Walk durations may occasionally need to be adjusted for the dog’s welfare due to circumstances such as extreme weather, illness or other safety concerns.

4. Dog Training & Behaviour

Training recommendations are based on the information available at the time of assessment and may change as we learn more about your dog.

Behaviour is influenced by many factors and therefore specific outcomes or timeframes cannot be guaranteed. Successful behaviour modification often depends on consistency between sessions and the owner’s implementation of the agreed training plan.

Where appropriate, Woof & Wonders may recommend that you consult your veterinary surgeon or another suitably qualified professional before or alongside behavioural work.

5. Walk & Train

Walk & Train sessions may be used to practise skills or elements of an existing training or behaviour modification plan.

These sessions are intended to support an existing programme and do not replace a behavioural assessment where one is required.

6. Dog Sitting & Home Visits

Dog sitting is provided in the dog’s own home only.

Owners must provide all necessary food, medication, equipment and clear care instructions before the service begins.

Woof & Wonders will make reasonable efforts to maintain your dog’s usual routine and provide appropriate exercise, companionship, play and enrichment.

Where medication is required, the owner must provide clear instructions and sufficient medication for the booking.

7. Veterinary Emergencies

If your dog becomes unwell or is injured while in our care, Woof & Wonders will make reasonable attempts to contact you or your nominated emergency contact.

Where urgent veterinary treatment is reasonably considered necessary and you cannot be contacted, you authorise Woof & Wonders to seek veterinary assistance in the interests of your dog’s welfare.

Unless the illness or injury was caused by a failure by Woof & Wonders to exercise reasonable care and skill, veterinary fees remain the owner’s responsibility.

Woof & Wonders is dog first aid trained, but first aid is not a substitute for veterinary treatment.

8. Prices & Payment

Current prices are displayed on our website or confirmed before booking.

Payment arrangements will be confirmed when your service is booked. Any additional services or charges will be agreed with you before they are incurred wherever reasonably possible.

9. Cancellations

We understand that plans sometimes change. Please provide as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or rearrange a booking.

Bookings cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged up to 50% of the booked service, reflecting losses reasonably incurred as a result of the late cancellation.

Any cancellation fee will be applied fairly and reasonably, taking account of the circumstances and any loss resulting from the cancellation.

If Woof & Wonders needs to cancel a service, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible and either rearrange the service or refund any amount paid for a service that cannot be provided.

10. Online Bookings & Your Right to Cancel

Where a contract is entered into online, by telephone or otherwise at a distance, you may have a statutory 14-day cancellation period under UK consumer law.

If you ask Woof & Wonders to begin providing a service during that cancellation period, you may be asked to expressly request that the service starts before the period has ended.

If you subsequently exercise a statutory right to cancel after services have begun at your request, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for services already provided. Where the service has been fully performed following the appropriate request and acknowledgement, the statutory cancellation right may be lost.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory consumer rights.

11. Access to Your Home

Where a service requires access to your property, you are responsible for providing safe and suitable access and notifying Woof & Wonders of relevant security systems, alarms or access arrangements.

Any keys, access codes or other security information provided to Woof & Wonders will be treated with appropriate care and confidentiality.

12. Weather & Safety

Your dog’s welfare comes first.

Walks may be shortened, rescheduled or adapted where weather or environmental conditions could pose a risk to your dog, including extreme heat, severe weather or unsafe travel conditions.

Where appropriate, an alternative such as a shorter toilet break, indoor enrichment or home visit may be offered.

13. Illness & Infectious Disease

Please notify Woof & Wonders if your dog becomes unwell or is diagnosed with, or suspected of having, an infectious or contagious condition.

Group services may need to be temporarily suspended where allowing the dog to participate could create a risk to other dogs.

14. Responsibility & Liability

Woof & Wonders will take reasonable care when providing all services.

Owners remain responsible for providing accurate information about their dog’s health, behaviour and individual needs.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

15. Photos & Social Media

Photographs or videos of dogs may occasionally be taken during walks, training sessions or sitting visits.

Photographs or videos identifying your dog will only be used for Woof & Wonders’ website, social media or marketing where you have given permission to do so.

You may withdraw this permission for future use at any time by contacting us.

16. Personal Information

Personal information provided to Woof & Wonders will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection law.

Please see our Privacy Policy for further information about how your data is collected, used and stored.

17. Complaints

If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please contact us as soon as possible so that we have an opportunity to understand and resolve the issue.

18. Changes to These Terms

Woof & Wonders may update these Terms & Conditions occasionally. The latest version will be available on our website.

Changes will not retrospectively alter the terms of an existing confirmed booking unless agreed with you or required by law.

19. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the applicable laws of England and Wales.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects any mandatory rights you have as a consumer.
